A visit to Prague is not complete without some time spent wandering around Letna Park with its brilliant views of the city as well as Prague Castle. Apart from the gardens themselves this is a place for people to gather, take part in sporting activities, dine in a restaurant or cafe, attend a festival or even join in protests. In 1989 around 75000 people took part in a protest against Communism and more recently three times as many took part in anti government protests in this park. But today all is very quiet and peaceful.
